Misfits
Old Boys made a triumphant return
to TFL by taking the Sunday
Night Premier League after a
nail-biting finish which would
have gone to any of the top
four teams right into the last
week of the season.
Misfits
Old Boys, a team of students
back in their native Rugby for
the summer, won the title by
goal difference from Hit Or
Misfits with just three goals
seperating the two sides. Spartan
FC's Will Mortimore took home
the impressive Star Man award
while David Payne of Hit Or
Misfits won the golden boot
for the Premier League.
Spartans
FC won their first ever piece
of TFL silverware by defeating
League One side FC Copenbadly
in the final.
Cadders & Co made light
work of their debut season in
the Sunday Night Championship
- taking the title by 9 points
without losing a game all season
and conceding just eight goals
along the way. Runners-up Team
Lewiss were a further ten points
ahead of third place but had
in their ranks the Championship's
Star Man & Top Scorer Tom
Coy. The striker netted 15 goals
and claimed six star man awards.
A final week victory for FC
Copenbadly in a title-deciding
game against newbies Andrews
Boys ensured promotion for the
cup finalists. Andrews Boys,
a group of Rugby players from
St Andrews trying their hand
at small-sided football - led
the table for much of the season
before being pipped at the post
by a quickly improving Copenbadly
side.
Anthony
Holland (FC Copenbadly) was
League One's Star Man and team-mate
Deane Paine was the top goalscorer.
