This
season saw three divisions for
the first time at TFL and the
added competition in each league
really spiced things up!
The
Premier Division looked like
it could go all the way with
Rokeby Ultimates, Hit Or Misfits
and Spartans FC locked together
at the half way mark but it
was Rokeby who found the extra
form in the final part of the
season to pull away and win
the Championship by 10 points.
Rokeby,
captained by Sam Bourne, showed
great consistency in their first
ever season at TFL and really
look like the team to beat in
the Sunday Premier next season.
Raccoons
(formerly Leicester Juniors)
collected the Sunday Cup and
had to defeat Premier Division
top trio Spartans, Rokeby and
lastly Misfits 2-1 in the final
to claim the coveted prize!
Last
season's cup holders Bare Merkage
were determined not to spend
too long in League One and they
dominated from the early stages
to eventually seal the title
and promotion back to the Premier
Division, 11 points ahead of
runners-up Fcukwits.
TFL
debutants RSFC scooped the League
Two championship staving off
a late challenge from fellow
newbies Draycote Hotel.
On
the individual front, Sam Bourne
won the Star Man award for the
Premier Division while Spartan
FC's Will Mortimore was the
top scorer with 24 goals.
Bare
Merkage goalkeeper Scott McKillop
picked up a special top keeper
award for conceding just four
goals all season while Adam
Hinton (Sensotemp) an Ed Coles-Jordan
(Team Rocket) won the golden
boot and Star Man awards respectively.
John
Woodward of U Do RealiZe? claimed
the League Two golden boot and
Craig Hyde of RSFC was the Star
Man.
