TFL RUGBY Sunday Night League

Results: Leicester Juniors 2 - 0 The Legion, Hit Or Misfits 2 - 0 AFC JJB, Traders 1 - 4 Team POW, Jeddy's Bears 9 - 4 Spartans FC.

2007/8 TFL Team of the Year Hit Or Misfits continued their 100% start to the new season with a 2-0 win over AFC JJB.

Matt Johnson struck both goals for the Misfits to take his tally to five for the season to make it three wins out of three to stay top of the table and three points ahead of the chasing pack. Aron Law claimed a clean sheet while David Payne was awarded the Star Man award for the game.

Leicester Juniors recovered from last week's defeat to claim a 2-0 win over The Legion, but they did not make the breakthrough until late in the game. Pressure finally told and Wayne Reid broke the deadlock before Dildale Linton added another for Juniors. Leicester's Mark Eames was the man of the match.

Yousef Dahmash put in a captain's performance for Team POW as he bagged a hat-trick and scooped the Star Man award during their 4-1 win over Traders. Marco Jerez also netted for POW while Joss Andrews scored Traders' consolation goal.

A TFL record scoreline occured on Sunday Night as Jeddy's Bears and Spartans shared an incredible 13 goals as the Bears ran out 9-4 winners!

With 28 minute games, it meant almost a goal every two minutes in a nightmare game for the two goalkeepers. David Kolodynski scored seven for Jeddy's while man of the match Sean Clarke added a further two. Will Mortimore and Michael Miller scored for Spartans.
